I saw my capstone project as an opportunity to use the skills I've developed as a student to challenge my creative potential. The result is the Aerocel Modular Growing System, a self-contained product that allows urban residents to grow more nutritious, better tasting fruits and vegetables year-round in their homes without the need for soil, outdoor light, or farming experience.

Many iterations of structures and growing methods were explored before creating a physical prototype. The final solution is made of simple, elegant lines and shapes, reflecting the ease of use and versatility of the product.

A slimplified visual language was used over a combination of footage and 3D graphics to effectively communicate features and information while reinforcing the shape and capabilities of the Aerocel.

Born and raised in rural Southern Ohio, Ely Beyer developed an appetite for rugged adventure that lead him to the creative thinking, aesthetic expression, and rambling uncertainty of the world of design. Now, he's seeking a living by telling stories and solving problems through creative solutions and visually-inspired moving pictures.
